DIY Wooden Beads Garland

Have you seen this wooden bead garland everywhere? I loved it so I wanted to make one for myself. It’s ridiculously easy and was less then $5!

First, all I did was buy a package of wooden beads from Michaels(using a coupon obviously), you can also get the beads from Joanns or Amazon. They were $2 with the coupon!

Warning: You are about to see a lot of pictures that include hideous shag carpet that was in the house when we bought it.  One day I will replace it, but my apologies to the ugly-ness that your eyes have to endure! ?

I forgot to take a picture of the package before I opened it but I lined up all the beads.

Now you don’t have to use a large plastic needle, this just made it easier for me. I also like using them for felt & wool ball garland.

Here they are all threaded! So easy!

I had a bunch of thread left over from this project so I wanted to use some of it to make tassels for the ends.

I thought that this particular color matched pretty well.

I then cut the thread in half and made tassels.

Here it is all done! It was ridiculously easy!

I love using the garland to accessorize my vignettes for pictures like this one, and they are currently on my shelf in my dining area.

Can you believe how simple that was?! It was only $2 for me since I already had all of that thread lying around but even if you had to buy your own it would still be for less than $5. Would this be something you would make or would you rather just buy?  I’d love to read/hear what you like making or if you’ll make one of these.  Thanks for checking this out!  Love you all!
