DIY Front Door Re-do

I painted my front door, and it looks great!  Let me show you how I did it!

Firstly, I got Modern Masters front door paint.  I chose the color Calm, but they have a ton of colors to choose from.

This mustard yellow door was here when we moved into the house. The color was fun, but didn’t match the rest of the house or our style. I saw the pretty blue “calm” color, and I had to use it on our home!

First, I had to give the door a really clean scrub, fill in all dents, and hand sanded a few sections.

I used a small paint brush and lightly painted the edges and around the little windows. You could totally take time to tape everything off if you’d like, I was just lazy and used a tiny paint brush slowly on each edge.

Then I used a foam roller brush to paint the larger parts of the door. I waited an hour in between coats, and it brushed onto the door beautifully! I did a total of about three coats.

I also painted my wreath hook to match the door.

Matches the door perfectly!

Here it is all finished with my hoop spring wreath.

Fun change to the front door, and it looks so clean and pretty!

It was literally that simple!  Isn’t it a great update?!  What color would you choose for your front door?!  I’d love to hear about it!  Let me know if I missed any steps, or if you need any extra tips!  Love you all!
