Before and After: Loft Office Redo!

Hello!  I am finally showing you my office!  We have a loft upstairs, and I wanted a space to work, so I put it all together.  It is all DIY projects and Goodwill finds!?  Let me show you all the details!

Here it is before we moved in.  The previous owner liked lots of dark colors, and the entire house was a builders beige that just didn’t work for our family’s personalities.

Here it is after!  The wall color is Earthling by Miller Paint. I painted all the main rooms this color, it’s the perfect greige!

Here is the left side of the room before.

I’ve had this shelf for a long time. I sanded it, stained it with the same stain from this project, and painted the metal white.

Sorry that the angle isn’t the same as the before picture, but here it is after!  Crazy what paint can do huh?!

This is what it looks like when you walk up the stairs.

These amazing velvet curtains with tassels are from Goodwill! I couldn’t bring myself to pay for them at Target, so I was thrilled to find them at Goodwill! $30 for both! I found some similar ones here and the price is great!

Here is a $5 Goodwill chair before. I ended up painting it a mint color, and painting the ends of the chair gold. I have always liked the “gold dipped” look.

This desk was my DIY free desk! The blue is beautiful!  Looks great with the chair!

This is another Goodwill find! Brand new! Fun accent on the chair. Here’s a similar one.

The black and white photos are old pictures of women in my family on both sides that inspire me. ?  The postcards above the corkboard are from a trip to New Orleans that I went on with my sisters.

Here is the before and after! I wanted more life and color, so I’m really pleased with how it all came together.

There’s my office!  What do you think of all the color?! Too bright?  I have to have some kind of color with these gray days that we get here in Portland!  Isn’t it crazy how inexpensively this can all be done?  You just need paint and elbow grease!  Did I miss anything?  Anything that I missed?  I love hearing from you!  Love you all!
