Easy and Inexpensive DIY Faux Fur Tree Skirt!

Want to see a super easy/cheap way to make a tree skirt?  Here’s how I did it for less than $20!  Check it out:

I found this faux fur fabric. It was on sale and I had a coupon! YAY! Here and here are similar fabrics you can get.

I bought 1.5 yards(extra just in case) for a total of $18. To make the skirt, I laid the fabric down on a flat surface.

I then just set my old tree skirt on top of it to use it as a pattern to copy.

Then using fabric scissors, I cut around the outside of my old tree skirt.

Here it is with the edges cut. Now I just need to cut the middle.

I’m sure that there’s a more precise way to do this, but I”m lazy so I just cut along the same spot as my old tree skirt.

Here it is all done. I think it took maybe 5-10 minutes to do the whole thing. I cut very slowly, so I’m sure that you could do it even faster than me.

It looks so fresh and nice with the white tree skirt!

Isn’t that the easiest DIY ever?!  I even made a wreath with the fabric scraps!  It gave me the exact look that I was hoping to achieve and it wasn’t expensive! Don’t worry though, if you really don’t want to make your own, I found similar tree skirts here and here.  You could do this with really any fabric!  What fabric would you use for your tree?  I’d love to see it!  Hope you’re having fun decorating for the holidays!

Love you all!
