Fall Leaf Garland

How’s your fall/Halloween decor coming along?  Are you missing that little extra touch?  Garland is an easy way to add more touches of decor without breaking the bank!  I made mine in five minutes and I’ll show you how I did it.  It’s a lot like this garland and this garland.  All it comes down to, is gluing an item to string and hanging it. haha?. Seriously though, it’s so simple.

Here are the details to my diy fall leaf garland:

I started with a bag of these leaves that I bought on clearance last year.  Either at Joann’s or Michaels?  I just saved them so I could use them the next year.

Instead of waiting until fall leaves go on clearance, you can get these ones that I found at the dollar tree!  These seemed a lot lighter, so they probably won’t twist on the string as much as mine do.  Makes things easier.

Anyway, once you have the leaves, you can make your garland.

You’ll need: twine/string, pack of faux leaves, hot glue gun and glue sticks.

Line up all of the leaves with the pattern that you like. Then lay the twine on top of the leaves, this makes it super easy to glue and attach everything.

Then you just line up each piece and glue!

Easy!

That’s it!  Hang up the garland!

The leaves didn’t stay straight, but I don’t mind it. I’m sure if you use lighter leaves, it won’t twist as much.  I’m just too cheap and lazy to go get different and lighter leaves. ?

Here is my fall mantle with the leaf garland:

I also hung up my acorn wreath and the rest of my fall decor. It gives it a nice extra touch of fall.

Easy as that!  Anything else that I should add to my mantle?  I’ve had so much fun putting it all together! Let me know if you make any type of garland!  Hope this inspires you to create without spending a lot.  Love you all!
